Hi! Shalom! Greetings! Welcome aboard! Feel free to have a browse through my posts, and comment as and when you’d like to. I don’t [usually] bite :)
What’s this blog all about? What’s it for?
This blog is my virtual soapbox, where I share my thoughts with the world – thoughts about life, the universe and everything… Sometimes I rant, sometimes I ramble, sometimes I rant and ramble both at the same time… Some of my posts are for thinking aloud, working stuff out for myself. Others are more soapboxy – me expressing my views, which you are obviously free to disagree with :)
I write about whatever comes to mind, but a few topics that tend to come up more often than others are: human nature, communication, relationships; faith, God, religion; words and languages; creativity; blogging and social media. (The tag cloud is there to help you navigate through it all. Happy browsing!)
Who am I?
My name is Meirav, and I’ve been blogging since 2007 – though this blog has only existed since 2011. (The previous platform I was using, the place where I’d first discovered the joys of blogging, has closed down in the meantime, but I rescued my posts and they’re here now – comments slightly mangled at times, but otherwise they seem to have survived pretty well.)
I’m an Israeli, married to an Englishman and currently living in England. I’m Jewish, and I’m a follower of Jesus. I’ve lived on this planet since 1962. I’m bilingual – grew up speaking both Hebrew and English. I like chocolate, purple, stillness, social media, photography, and making random lists. I’m an introvert – and no, that doesn’t mean I hate people, it simply means I need lots of solitude, and get exhausted if I overdo the social side of life. I’m a night owl. I have a strong tendency to be pedantic and to take words very literally (but I’m working on that). And… oh yes, I have some strong opinions about some things and I don’t believe in brushing things under the carpet. Hence this blog :)
